What is GDPR Cookie Banner?

A Shopify app from QAIMOS LTD that lets you design a cookie consent banner in admin and publish it to your storefront via Theme App Embed — with anonymous consent logging for compliance evidence.

How do I make the banner appear on my store?

Install the app, customize on the Design page, then enable the app’s Theme App Embed in the Shopify theme editor and save. See the tutorial for the full path.

Does the banner block my theme or require code edits?

No theme Liquid edits are required for the standard setup. Delivery uses Theme App Embed. Keep the embed enabled for the banner to show.

What does the visitor see?

A consent notice with your title and description, plus clear Accept and Reject actions (and Cookie settings / reopen when enabled). There is no shield or guard icon in the live banner UI.

What data do you store about my customers?

Consent logs store an anonymous visitor_id, a hashed IP, user agent, consent choices, and timestamp. We do not keep Shopify customer PII profiles. Details: Privacy Policy.

Do you support Google Consent Mode v2?

Yes — the banner can signal consent state for Google tags when that option is part of your configuration.

Can I translate the banner?

Multi-language storefront support includes an EU/UK catalog and editable translation overrides in admin.

What happens if I uninstall?

Shopify sends uninstall / redact webhooks. We remove shop-associated tokens, settings, and consent data according to our retention practices in the Privacy Policy.
